LSPs are key to tackling deep seated, multi-faceted problems, requiring a range of responses from different bodies. Local partners working through a LSP will be expected to take many of the major decisions about priorities for their local area.

WalkTalk
WALKTALK - Leeds to London , July-August 2008 - An idea conceived by Gill Hicks who a survivor of the London bombings in 2005. A unique initiative for the UK, strictly non-political and non-partisan, WALKTALK is not a demonstration or a ‘peace walk’, or a traditional sponsored or charity walk which aims to raise money with each step taken. Instead, it offers a month-long opportunity to ‘walk in another’s shoes’, to hear a different point of view, to focus on humanity, on all that we have in common, and to discuss openly and respectfully issues that we may not agree on.
